Dream 24 -
The white parrot
It
was in August of 1992 that I first came across the White Parrot. I was in the
dream and watching television. As the story unfolded, a large, very beautiful,
White Parrot with a special, almost human head and face, became the centre of
the action. It flew around in an animated way. Then it came out of the
television screen and flew around the room and related to me. In this way
perhaps the umnanifest became manifest. This concerned me somewhat, but I was
unable to persuade it to return whence it had come because the program had now
changed.
Eventually
I carefully manipulated the television controls and eventually got the right
program back. The beautiful White Parrot was then able to return to its reality
in the television program.
The
fact that the parrot is white makes it a symbol of the inner mind, the
unconscious. That it is a bird also emphasises that it operates at another
level. That it comes into the room confirms that I have made contact with the
inner mind, but the problem of getting it to return shows that I as yet do not
fully understand how to go about contacting inner mind, Higher Mind, at will. I
still have much to learn about the process.
